What Is Graphic by Daeshin?
It's a premium manhwa (Korean comics) reading café — but calling it just a manhwa café feels like an understatement. The space is open, airy, and thoughtfully designed with plush sofa seating scattered throughout. Soft background music plays at the perfect volume: present enough to set the mood, quiet enough that you forget it's there after five minutes.
The moment I walked in, I was assigned a seat. After that, I was free to wander the shelves and settle wherever I liked. The collection is extensive — you could genuinely spend a full day here and not run out of things to read.
The Vibe: Nothing Like a Traditional Manhwa Bang
Korean manhwa bang (만화방) has a reputation — and not always a flattering one. Dark, narrow, slightly musty. Graphic by Daeshin flips that script entirely. But if you're spending any time in the Songpa or Hanam area, or if you're a manhwa fan willing to make a dedicated trip, yes, absolutely. I came from across the city and left wishing I'd booked the all-day pass instead of just two hours.
The design alone makes it worth seeing. This is what happens when someone takes the concept of a reading café seriously and gives it real space, real light, and real taste. More places should look like this.
